Ben Marc is proud to present his first single 'Dark Clouds' (feat. Joshua Idehen), taken from his upcoming LP to be released later this year.

Ben Marc has gained international recognition and praise supplying low notes for many artists on stage and in the studio, including Macy Grey, Sun Ra Arkestra, Dizzee Rascal, Jose James, and more recently China Moses, Ashley Henry and Shabaka Hutchings.

Classically trained double bass player, his love for hip-hop and electronic music saw him create two side projects (Ben - Jazz ; Marc - Hip-Hop) and embark on a self-teaching journey in music production.

With this album, he brings Ben and Marc together and introduces us to his personal universe. The moment in time where a jazz musician affirms his love for club culture and delivers an album that travels from hip-hop to electronica via trip-hop and more, seen through the lens of a multi-instrumentalist and producer.

All combined with Ben's unique take on playing, which has made him a sought-after performer with the artists cited above and at festivals around the world.

On 'Dark Clouds', long-time friend Joshua Idehen (LV, Sons Of Kemet) lays down his trademark expressive and powerful vocals on a bed of Dubstep meets Afrobeat vibes. The song tackles topics that the recent global events make even more poignant and gripping.

The rest of the album has a stellar line-up of featuring artists, including Judi Jackson, Jason Yarde, Ed Riches and Midnight Roba (Attica Blues).
